Body-Mind, Ego-Mind & Soul Mind
GATHERING DATA - STAGE 1
Our eyes, ears, nose, mouth, and skin (seeing, hearing, smelling, tasting, and feeling) serve as our sense organs for collecting information about our surrounding environment. The information we acquire travels through electromagnetic waves. Instead of seeing colours, our eyes detect various light vibration frequencies. Our ears don't hear sounds, they sense different sound vibration frequencies. These numerous data streams are transmitted to the brain for processing in the form of energy quanta.
PROCESSING INFORMATION - STAGE 2
The brain puts together and synthesises the information from the five senses into information patterns that the mind can identify. What we see, hear, smell, taste, or feel is not the information that is being fed into our brains or the patterns of information that our senses are producing; rather, it is the mind's abstraction of this information. The information patterns take shape in the mind.
MAKING MEANING - STAGE 3
The body-mind, ego-mind, and soul-mind each look for a memory (body, ego, or soul memory) that includes a pattern similar to the information pattern produced by the brain. When a similar pattern is discovered, a reaction, a response, or some kind of guidance leading to reflection is started.
If there are no memories that match, the mind does a "fuzzy" search in the ego mind to identify a pattern that resembles the one being experienced (but is not an exact match). Once a pattern is identified, we apply logic to the circumstance by making connections to other patterns we already know about, to assign meaning to the situation.
Since the brain, which is a part of the body, is directly connected to the sense organs, the body-mind, the ego-mind, and the soul-mind all react to the information packages in the order shown in the diagram below: the body-mind acts first, followed by the ego-mind, the soul-mind, and finally the sense organs.
MAKING A DECISION STAGE 4
The body-mind will respond to a situation based on instincts; the ego-mind will respond or act upon a situation based on subconscious or conscious beliefs; and the soul-mind will consider the intuitive or inspirational advice it is getting and then affirm or realign its position.
Humans have three minds that decide how to meet their needs. We also have two sets of demands for our bodies (internal stability and exterior equilibrium), seven levels of ego/soul needs (internal stability of the ego and soul-mind), and six different decision-making processes.
The different modes of decision making are explained in the following blogs
